Mac OS X and off-campus connections: What software do I need to install to use Argos for the first time?
Installing Citrix and setting up Internet Explorer to run an ActiveX control is required for first-time logins.

Setting up Internet Explorer (IE) to run the ActiveX control:


NOTE: Since there are two separate Citrix servers, you may be prompted to install the ActiveX control on subsequent logins.
  1. Go to https://macapps.macalester.edu. The Citrix XenApp - Logon screen appears.

  2. In the User name: and Password: fields enter your Macalester username and password.




  3. Click Log On. The Citrix window appears.




  4. Double-click the Argos icon. The Logon to Windows screen appears. Enter your Macalester username and password.



  5. Click OK. Evisions web application appears. From the left navigation bar, click Argos.



  6. Click Start Here.



  7. The following message appears: This website wants to run the following add-on: 'MAP Client Universal Launcher' from 'Global Evisions Solutions, Inc. ' If you trust the website and the add-on and want to allow it to run, click here...

    Click the message. A pop-up menu appears, select Run Add-on.



  8. Internet Explorer - Security Warning window appears. Click Run to run this ActiveX control.



  9. Evisions web application appears. Click Argos from the left nav bar and then click Start Here.



  10. Follow the prompts to log into Argos.
